East Fallowfield Elementary School

Nurse's Office

Mission Statement
The Mission of the East Fallowfield Elementary School is that of the Coatesville Area School District, "The mission of the Coatesville Area School District, a learning community rich in diversity and committed to excellence, is to educate all students by providing rigorous educational opportunities to become responsible, productive, life-long learners in a global society."

The Health Office is staffed by a Certified School Nurse or Licensed Health Care Professional during all student school days. The Health Office provides first aid to sick or injured students and administers prescribed medications. Health counseling and health education is available to all students.

Pennsylvania Health Law mandates that all students have current immunization records upon entering school. State mandated screenings are conducted annually in all grades. These include vision screening and height/weight measurements. Hearing screening is checked in kindergarten, first, second, third, and seventh grades. Should a problem be detected in any of the screenings, parents/guardians will be notified.

Pennsylvania Health Law requires a physical examination upon entrance to school, grades sixth and eleven. Dental examinations are required upon entering school, as well as in third and seventh grades. These examinations may be completed by student’s personal Physician/Dentist. With permission the school district will conduct the examination.

Feel free to contact the School Nurse throughout the school year with any updates or changes regarding a student.
