East Fallowfield’s Reading Specialists: Mrs.Chidester, Mrs. Lange and Mrs. McCoy, are dedicated to helping East Fallowfield students be the best readers and students they can be!
East Fallowfield embraces a balanced literacy approach that incorporates reading and writing. Students who work with a Reading Specialist receive small group reading instruction in addition to the guided reading instruction given by the classroom teacher. In these small groups Reading Specialists are able to differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
Parent involvement is crucial to reading success, and is therefore a very important part of our reading program. Several parent involvement events are offered throughout the year and are hosted by the different CASD elementary schools. Details will be sent home prior to each event, but check back here periodically for information. We hope to see you at one of our exciting events!
