FAQ:  Can my child ride another bus?

Students are assigned to only one bus and will not be permitted to ride a bus other than their regularly scheduled bus. Contact the KH Office if you have an emergency request for bus change.

FAQ:  How can my child earn the Perfect Attendance Award?

Students who are in attendance all day, every day are eligible to receive the Perfect Attendance Award. Late arrivals and early dismissals are disruptive to both the students and the class and are strongly discouraged.
Late Arrival
Students reporting to school late are to go to the office with a note stating the reason for the tardiness. Reporting to school late and early dismissals will affect a student’s perfect attendance.  Students without a note are marked illegally tardy.
Student Absences
Within 2 days, students returning to school from an absence must have a written excuse, signed by the parent/guardian, indicating the date(s) of absence and the reason for the absence. Students who are absent in excess of 10 days during the school year may be required to have a physician’s excuse for all subsequent absences.
Vacation Requests
Prior to a trip, please contact the school and submit a written request for students to be excused from school for educational and planned vacation trips.

"Late" Procedure
2 lates = a warning letter to the parents
3 lates = student receives an administrative detention
6 lates = a mandatory parent conference before student may return to school
12 lates = a physician's excuse may be required for any subsequent tardiness or lateness
