KH Science Fair :
Every year, KH invites all KH
students to participate in the KH Science Fair Competition.
Students who want to do a Science Fair Project need to register and get an instruction packet.
This is great way to learn the Scientific Process and do fun experiments.

Plan to attend the
Pre-Science Fair Family Workshop:
in KH Library

Learn how to do a project,
get a project board, and select library books that will help you win at
the Science Fair.

Projects should be
brought to the school for judging by January 19 a.m.
*Names need to be on the back of
the project board*

Participants from the KH
Science Fair may continue to the District and County Science Fairs.
If you
missed this meeting and have questions, contact the School Office.
If your
child does not bring a registration form home from school, call KH Office
at 383-3775.

Science Fair Project boards are available for purchase the
night of the Workshop or from
the KH
Office.

District Science Fair:
Any student can enter a science project in the District Science Fair held
on
Saturday, February at the 9/10 Center. K-2 is for display only; 3rd
– 12th will be judged. Projects will need to be dropped off the
evening before the fair. This is sponsored by the Coatesville Area School
District Parent Council.
County Science Fair:
The
Chester County Science Research Competition is for the
top projects from 4th and 5th grade winners from King’s
Highway.

Keep a Science Log. Put a date next to every entry.

Write a realistic timeline for completing your
Project.

Choose a topic that will keep you curious,
interested and motivated for a couple of months.

Collect background information on your topic from
books, magazines, the Internet, people and companies

Design an experiment.
- Do background research on your subject of interest.
- Write the purpose of your experiment. What question do you want to
answer? Write your hypothesis.
- Gather materials and supplies needed for the experiment.
